C Beebies – “Mighty Mites” – Features SwimEasy Teacher – Kalie Lygo

Sometime ago, SwimEasy gave “Wish Films” permission to film our lessons programme as part of a pilot for a new C Beebies programme called “Mighty Mites”. The show stars Sarah-Jane Honeywell and her puppet side-kick 'Go-Joe'. In each episode two young friends are given the opportunity to become a 'Mighty-Mite' by trying a new activity; from kite-flying to go-karting, drumming to circus skills, skiing to ballroom dancing and of course swimming!

During the pilot, Wish Films were so impressed by the way SwimEasy’s lesson programme was set up that, when the programme was commissioned by the BBC, they re-approached us to assist them by providing our teacher, Kalie Lygo, and to help them find a suitable pool venue for filming within Edinburgh - Edinburgh University’s pool.  The episode focusing on swimming, featuring Kalie, was televised on the 23^rd September 2010 on C Beebies.

It’s great to let your child know that SwimEasy, their swimming lessons provider, was involved in helping the BBC with this programme.
