Lewis Smith, Warrender baths Club and a member of the Stirling ITC, confirmed his place on the Scotland Swim Team for the upcoming commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi, India in October 2010.

Lewis picked up a silver medal in the 400 IM at the Scottish Commonwealth Trials held at Tollcross in Glasgow, finishing just behind the British record holder in a time comfortably within the qualifying standard required to guarantee him a place on the Team.

Lewis did not cut back on his hard training for the meet and will continue to train full out for the remainder of the summer before tapering off in readiness for the Games, where he hopes to make the final and indeed gain a podium place.
