Entrance and Parking
Oxgangs Road North is off Colinton Mains Drive. Colinton Mains Drive is an extension of Colinton Road, just after the mini roundabout at Craiglockhart/ Firhhill. Drive straight on at mini roundabout going south towards Tesco, take a first left into Oxgangs Road North. The school is situated between Firrhill Senior School and Oxgangs Primary School. Braidburn School is a school for special children. It is essential that drivers adhere to the allocated parking spaces. Consideration must be given to the school pupils at all times. Unrestricted parking is also available immediately outside the school grounds. Parking outside the school grounds should not normally be necessary.

Please note that all parents and children must enter the building by the "Sports Entrance" which is north of the car park.

Changing Rooms
Separate Male and Female, with showers and separate cubicles. Changing tables available within the changing room. The pool entrance is via the changing rooms. There are separate male and female spacious communal changing available on the opposite corridor from the pool.

Meeting Point Children
Adults and toddlers should congregate by the pool side. In the interests of safety please do not enter the water until the previous class has finished. Teachers need to be prepared and ready before commencing with the lesson.

Viewing
A limited amount of seating is available at this venue normally alongside the pool. No outdoor shoes will be permitted.

Hygiene
Toddler and Infants should blow their noses and go to the toilet before entering the pool. There is no need to shower. The pool is a deck level raised basin pool. Please ensure that you do not allow your children to stand on the pool deck without supervision.

Personal Equipment 
Compulsory :
Toddlers and infants: it is not necessary for children to wear swim nappies however tight swim costumes and trunks should be worn. No loose baggie swim wear please.

Adults: Are asked to wear a baggy T Shirt to wear over swimming costumes or trunks. The T Shirt is essential to enable the little ones to perform grab and grip skills.

Recommended :
Pool shoes and a towel robe for toddlers and infants.
