A brand new 25 metre x 4 lane pool, newly opened in August 2009. A fantastic venue offering excellent changing facilities and ample secure car parking.

Entrance and Parking

From Ferry Road (B9085) heading west, you will see Drylaw Police Station on your left, turn right into Pennywell Road and travel down to the bottom of the road and Craigroyston High School’s NEW building is situated on the left. Travel past the school and turn first left into Muirhouse Parkway, and the car park entrance is situated on the left and the pool entrance is also at situated at the front of this carpark.

From Cramond Road South travel to Barnton Gardens turning left into Lauriston Farm Road, at the roundabout take the second exit on the left into Silverknowes Parkway which leads into Muirhouse Parkway. The school carpark is situated just before the roundabout on the right handside before Pennywell Road and the entrance to the pool area is situated at the front of this carpark.

Parking: Ample parking in the grounds. Please note, after parking in the designated car park situated on Muirhouse Parkway, please enter the building through the doorway situated to the front of this car park, there is an intercom system in operation and it has been suggested that you can use both the “Janitor” or “Reception” to gain access. After entering the building you will find yourself in the main foyer; situated approximately 7 metres to your right you will see a doorway which has as a sign above it marked “Pool”. Please go through this doorway and follow the corridor which leads to the changing areas.

Meeting Point
Please meet the lesson Co-ordinator at the main entrance to the poolside. Please follow the instructions of the Pool Co-ordinator.

Viewing
We do ask that parents keep noise to a minimum and do not disturb the lessons. Parents are free to communicate with the lesson coordinator with regards to the progress of their child.

Hygiene
Children must shower, blow their noses and go to the toilet before entering the pool.

Personal Equipment
Compulsory:
Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness.
Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal.
Towel
Recommended: Pool Shoes, Robe, T-Shirt
