Entrance and Parking
At the top of Preston Road, Donaldson’s School is on the right hand side and clearly signposted.
As you enter the school grounds, the parking areas are on your left and continue round the corner. Please adhere to speed restrictions at all times. Enter the school by the Main Entrance, where you will be required to Check-In. Go past Reception, keeping to the left, and go through the first blue door on your left hand side. Follow the stairs down, and when you reach the ground floor, turn right into the corridor. The Wetside Changing Rooms are directly in front of you. If attending for the Main Lessons programme, please follow the posters to the Dryside Changing rooms further up the corridor. Access to the pool is through the Changing Rooms or as marked by our posters.

Changing Rooms
Communal changing rooms with some cubicles. Separate shower area.

Meeting Point
Children will be met by the lesson Progress Advisor at the entrance to the pool. Children will
be returned to this area at the end of the lesson. Children should assemble down the left hand side of the pool before the lesson begins. Children are escorted to their stations by the teacher.

Viewing
Parents are permitted on poolside on any week. Once the lesson has started, parents will be invited on to poolside. They will then be asked to go back to the changing rooms 5 minutes before the lesson end. The rule at this venue is that all belongings must be removed from changing areas during the lessons. If parents are coming onto poolside, there is a cupboard area for belongings to be stored. Parents are free to communicate with the lesson Progress Advisor regarding their child’s progress.

Hygiene
All children must shower, blow their noses and go to the toilet before entering the pool.

Personal Equipment
Compulsory: Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness. Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal. Towel
