Entrance and Parking
Holyrood Road is the continuation of the Cowgate leading towards Holyrood Park.
From the Cowgate, cross straight over the traffic lights between St. Mary’s Street and The Pleasance, heading towards Holyrood Park. St. Leonard’s Land has a bright red stripe down the front of the building, with a red door marking the main entrance.

Parking: There is a multi-storey NCP car park situated on the right hand side (coming from the Cowgate/Pleasance) before reaching St. Leonard’s Land. Entrance to this car park is gained via Viewcraig Gardens. Alternatively there is free parking on a Sunday on the street opposite St. Leonard’s Land, St. John’s Street.

The pool is on the third floor of the building.

N.B. Edinburgh University also has a sports facility on the Pleasance, but the pool is situated around the corner in Holyrood Road.

Average Temperature: 28 degrees

Changing Facilities
There are separate male and female changing rooms and individual cubicles. Secure lockers, which require a £1 deposit, are provided and should be used at all times as the public have access to this building.

Meeting Point
Please meet the lesson Progress Advisor at the main entrance to the poolside. Please follow the instructions of the lesson Progress Advisor.

Viewing
Due to Health and Safety requirements at this venue, parents are not permitted on poolside to view classes. There is limited seating in the pool reception area and the venue is situated close to local shops and amenities. Parents are however free to communicate with the lesson Progress Advisor with regards to the  progress of their child.

Hygiene
Children must shower, blow their noses and go to the toilet before entering the pool.

Personal Equipment
Compulsory: Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness.
Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal.
Towel
Recommended: Pool Shoes, Robe, T-Shirt
