A fabulous new 25 metres x 4 lane pool, opened in January 2010.

Changing Rooms
A fantastic new facility offering excellent communal changing facilities with separate changing cubicles and poolside showers. Separate male and female toilets are available. The pupils’ poolside entrance is via the changing rooms. Parents/guardians can access the poolside by a separate doorway. Please ensure that all belongings are removed from cubicles during the lessons to ensure they are available for the next timeslot.

Entrance and Parking
Entrance to the school is from Broomhouse Road.

From Holy Corner / Colinton Road
Proceed along Colinton Road until you reach the Myreside/Colinton Rd. intersection just by Watson’s school and then turn into Gray’s Loan from this crossroads. Continue straight down Ashley Terrace on to the end of Shandon Place turning left on to Slateford Road (A70), then turn first right on to Wardlaw Terrace, then left into Stewart Terrace. Proceed to the end of this road then turn left onto Gorgie Road (A71) continuing in a westerly direction for approximately 1 mile until you reach the first of the Calder Road roundabouts. Take the second exit and continue straight over and on to the next roundabout, then take the third exit turning left onto Broomhouse Road and continue to the roundabout at the foot of the hill, proceed straight over and under the railway bridge. The school entrance is on your left hand side.

Meeting Point
Please meet the lesson Progress Advisor at the main entrance to the poolside. Please follow the instructions of the lesson Progress Advisor.

Viewing
Viewing will be available however no benches are currently provided. We do ask that parents keep noise to a minimum and do not disturb the lessons. Parents are however, free to communicate with the lesson Progress Advisor with regards to the progress of their child after lessons have commenced. SwimEasy has sole use of the pool facilities during its Lesson Programmes.

Hygiene
Children must shower blow their noses and go to the toilet before entering the pool.
 

Personal Equipment
Compulsory: Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness.
Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal.
Towel
Recommended: Pool Shoes, Robe, T-Shirt
