Classes take place at various venues throughout the City of Edinburgh, Falkirk, Stenhousemuir, Larbert and Linlithgow.
Classes are provided every day in Edinburgh except Thursdays, and on selected days in Falkirk, Larbert, Linlithgow and Polmont.
Classes take place on a continuous rolling programme basis and are interrupted only by school holidays. Classes begin from the end of August until June of the following academic year. We also provide Crash Courses during the school holidays called Rapid Track, over 5 consecutive days.
The recommended numbers are only provisional and not guaranteed.
However, we work with low numbers with 4 per teacher in the pre-school and non- swimming stages and 5 in the Beginner Stages (All Red Hats).
The numbers increase to 6 as children progress through the stages in Learner, Improver and SwimWell (Yellow, Orange and Green respectively).
Children learn from touch and feel and the only way to learn the complex movement and skills is from minimal manipulation by the teachers.
Our payment arrangement is designed to cover a full academic year. Initial payment is taken by credit or debit card. You will sign up to our automated recurring online payment system, ‘EasyPay’.
A reduction of fees applies to a third child if all the children are swimming in the Main Programme. Discounts will not apply to cross programmes such as SwimBabies, SwimTots, and RapidTrack, One-to-One or One-to-Two programmes.
SwimBabies and SwimTots are based on 30 minute time slots with 25 minutes teaching and 5 minutes for initial registration and end debrief.
Core Programme Lessons are based on 40 minute time slots, with 35 minutes teaching and 5 minutes for initial registration and end debrief.
One-to-One and One-to-Two lessons are based on 30 minute time slots, with 25 minutes teaching and 5 minutes for initial registration and end debrief.
SwimFast Squad sessions are based on 60 minute time slots, with 50 minutes teaching and 5 minutes for land stretching and 5 minutes for initial registration and debrief.
Certain SwimFast sessions may last only for 40 minutes.
We do not operate in terms. In each academic year there are 34 lessons, interrupted only by Easter, Summer, Christmas and Mid-term holidays.
No. However, every effort will be made to make your child happy.
No. This is not our practice.
You will be charged for the block in question as SwimEasy will have pre booked the swimming pool venue and committed fee payments for the teachers.
This depends very much on the child, their age and how they react and respond to our teaching. It is vital that children are able to listen and are willing to learn.
Progression is usually faster during the early stages of Non-Swimmer and Beginner. As a child progresses onto Learner and Improver a slowing up of progression occurs. However, children will improve if they practice between swimming lessons. Pupils who do not practice in between lessons will generally not make improvements as fast. It is important however that practice is performed correctly and should not mean simply going to the pool and only playing around.
