British Swimming Championships 2017

Good luck to everyone taking part in the British Swimming Championships 2017 this year!

The event takes place from today, 18 April, until 23 April 2017 and is the highlight of the swimming event calendar. Over 500 competitors from across the UK will compete in this years’ event. Races will take place over the six days, with heat sessions taking place in the morning and finals in the evening.

It’s a chance for swimmers to set new records and beat their own personal bests, plus it’s the last chance to qualify for Commonwealth Youth Games that will be hosted in the Bahamas this year.

Our friends at Warrender Baths Club have sent a team down to compete, many of whom are ex-SwimEasy pupils. So, we’re wishing an extra-special good luck to: George Clough, Chris Kerr, Fraser Allison, Katy Smith, Roisin Ramsay, Taylor Finlayson and Archie Goodburn.

You can watch the live stream from British Swimming here. Catch all the action live from the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
