The pool at Craigroyston Community High School is an excellent modern facility, recently built in 2009. Craigroyston pool can boast that many top level swimming clubs use the facility for regular training, such as Warrender Baths Cub and Hearts Amateur Swimming Club.

The spacious and well-lit pool is popular for swimmers in the surrounding areas, being encompassed by Silverknowes, Bruntsfield and Murrayfield golf courses. Furthermore, it is a handy pool with many of our swimmers coming from Fife and South Queensferry.

Pool Information

Size: 25m x 4 lanes

Average Temperature: 28 degrees Celcius

Changing Rooms: There are private cubicles just off poolside to allow parents to help their child get ready for their lesson in privacy. Please remove all outdoor shoes at the entrance to the changing facility.

Hygiene: Our teachers really love it when children blow their noses and go to the toilet before the start of lessons. This tends to avoid any unwanted surprises and causes minimum disruption to the lessons!

Meeting Point

Meeting Point Children

Once changed, parents and children should congregate on poolside by the shallow end. In the interests of safety please do not enter the water until the previous class has finished as teachers need to be prepared and ready before commencing with the lesson.

Viewing the Pool

There is no viewing area on the poolside.
