We are lucky to use this facility as it is another recent build and is host to Warrender Baths Club and Hearts Amateur Swim Club. Situated in Corstorphine near the Gyle, the pool is a handy commute for a large number of our swimmers from all over Edinburgh.

The 25m, four lane pool is the perfect facility for our main programme and an ideal training pool for our SwimFast swimmers. Forrester High School’s pool is often a popular location for our Holiday RapidTrack courses.

Size: 25m x 4 lane

Average Temperature: 28 degrees Celsius

Changing Rooms: The fantastic new facility offers excellent communal changing facilities with separate changing cubicles and poolside showers. Separate male and female toilets are available. The pupils’ poolside entrance is via the showers. We do ask that all belongings are removed from cubicles during the lessons to ensure they are available for the next timeslot.

Hygiene: Our teachers really love it when children blow their noses and go to the toilet before the start of lessons. This tends to avoid any unwanted surprises and causes minimum disruption to the lessons!

Meeting Point

Children can make way onto poolside through the shower area and the Progress Adviser will show them where to go.

Viewing the Pool

Due to the school’s Health and Safety requirements, we are asked that parents do not go on poolside during the lessons. You are, however, welcome to talk with the Progress Adviser should you wish to.

Personal Equipment

Compulsory:

Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness.
Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal.
