At SwimEasy, we often talk about our premium standards, small class sizes, and elite venues. But the absolute heart of our organisation is our people. We firmly believe that to provide the best experience for your children, our team must never stop learning, growing, and refining their craft.
That is why, even during the well-deserved summer break, our team is already preparing to raise the bar for the upcoming Autumn term.
On Sunday, 9th August 2026, our entire teaching and coaching staff will be gathering at for our first major Summer Teacher Training Day of the new year. Led by our Consultant Director Taylor Smith, this workshop is a cornerstone of how we maintain the highest quality of swim instructors in Scotland.
Bringing Elite Coaching Standards to Your Local Pool
This intensive development day doesn’t just impact our Edinburgh venue. The fresh ideas, updated safety protocols, and advanced training methodologies developed during this session will be deployed across all of our flagship regions starting this August.
Whether you swim with us at our established homes or our newly expanding locations, our unified training ensures premium quality without fail:
📍 Edinburgh & Falkirk Lessons
Our long-standing teams in Edinburgh and Falkirk will be using this session to push our trademark Teachers Passport even further, ensuring your child’s weekly progression remains smooth, rapid, and closely tracked by our on-site Pool Progress Advisors.
📍 Glasgow (West End & Southside)
As we expand our premium schedules, some new coaching cohorts and assistants across Glasgow’s West End and Southside will be fully integrated into this training day. This ensures that families in Glasgow receive the exact same elite standard of care, specialised child development strategies, and technical excellence that SwimEasy Way! is famous for.
Why Continuous Training Matters for Your Child
Whether a coach has been with SwimEasy for a decade or is a brand-new assistant joining us for their very first term, this training day is all about alignment, inspiration, and fresh perspectives.
Our pools are dynamic environments, and our training days ensure every staff member returns to the poolside with renewed confidence, enthusiasm, and practical ideas they can take directly into their weekly lessons. However the ongoing training and community of practice is what really sets SwimEasy apart. Our pool leaders never stop leading and our teachers never stop sharing. That said it is nice to all get together often too in order to share across pools. During this intensive workshop, our team will be focusing on:
- Fostering Collaboration: Sharing real-world pool challenges, exchanging successful teaching experiences, and learning from one another to find the best solutions for our swimmers.
- Philosophy Realignment: Ensuring our deep commitment to continuous Assessment for Learning Passports and individualised care is sharper than ever.
- Advanced Adaptive Coaching: Refining techniques to support all swimmers, including our fully integrated neurodiverse students, so that every child feels safe, capable, and excited to progress.
Following the practical poolside workshop at Braidburn, our team will also be completing follow-up online development “skills and correction’ session to lock in these fresh ideas before the official August Autumn term begins.
Golden Opportunity: FREE Lesson on 9th August
To make our training day as effective as possible, our teachers need real, enthusiastic swimmers in the water to practice new progressive formats and lesson structures!
Because of this, we are reaching out to a handful of families in the local area to invite their children to receive completely FREE swimming lessons on the morning of Sunday, 9th August at Braidburn School in Edinburgh. This is a wonderful opportunity for some children to get extra pool time, experience elite small-group coaching, and shake off any summer rust before the school term starts.
