Powering Progress Through Local Community Partnerships
We passionately believe that every single child deserves the chance to learn to swim safely. This year, we’ve been incredibly proud to put our values into action across Scotland through purposeful collaborations:
1. Free Swimming Lesson Bursaries in North Edinburgh
Through a fantastic collaboration with The Darcey Sunshine Foundation and The Spartans Community Foundation, we have supported vital swimming opportunities for children who need them most. Particularly for families looking for swimming lessons in North Edinburgh, SwimEasy and these foundations have offered Bursaries for FREE Swimming Lessons to children who would otherwise not have an opportunity to learn this life-saving skill.
2. Volunteering for ASN (Additional Support Needs) Swimming Lessons
We are deeply committed to making swimming accessible to everyone. Our incredible teachers have been volunteering their time and expertise, offering specialised services to ensure ASN swimmers receive the dedicated attention they deserve.
SwimEasy is proud to support Active Schools Edinburgh in their vital initiative to make swimming available to children with severe ASN needs. These specialised holiday camps provide an excellent opportunity for children to swim during school breaks and truly enjoy the water. SwimEasy and Active Schools share a long, collaborative relationship where we support supplying year round teachign staff, and we are proud to extend this even further to help these wonderful children and families.
True Integration: Supporting Neurodiverse Swimmers Every Day
Our community work isn’t separate from our daily schedule; it feeds directly into our core program. Throughout the year, SwimEasy supports children with various levels of neurodiverse needs by fully integrating them into our mainstream kids swimming lessons wherever possible.
Because we maintain strictly small class sizes and progress advisors at every pool, our highly trained coaches have the time, space, and emotional bandwidth to adapt their teaching styles in real time. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether a child needs extra visual cues, a bit more patience, or a tailored sensory environment, they get it right alongside their peers.
