Teacher Spotlight – Leah @ Glasgow

Since I was young, I have always loved swimming and would spend most of my days at my local pool. I never had access to a teacher or a swimming club growing up, so when looking for a job I knew I wanted to do something that I would love but also be able to pursue a career that I could provide the things I never got the chance to have. When I heard of SwimEasy, I jumped at the opportunity to apply and was so thankful when I got asked to come to the lessons.

My Journey with the Company Started in September of 2022 when I had just started university to complete a sporting degree. Since then, I have come a long way from being an assistant to a teacher and, most recently, the pool PA for the Glasgow cluster. I could not be more excited about this role. I love coming in and seeing the kid’s happy faces, and it makes my weekends more enjoyable. Every day I spend at the pools is different because you can work on so many different things with help from the passports and the teaching staff always have a good mix between work and jokes which makes me want to push myself to be better for the team.

I wouldn’t change my journey for the world as it has moulded me into the person I am today. I am excited to see what my next chapter as a PA brings as I would love to help more by giving back to a company that’s already given me a lot within just a couple of years.
