Cleveden Secondary School is located in the north west of Glasgow in the Kelvindale area, conveniently located for areas such as Anniesland, Hyndland, Kelvinside, and Jordanhill .

Our Main Programme runs here on the above days, teaching children of all abilities from non-swimmers and beginners, through to more advanced swimmers.  Our swimming lessons at Cleveden Secondary School are taught by some of the best teachers in Glasgow.

Pool Information

Size: 25m x 6 lanes

Average Temperature: 26 degrees Celsius

Changing Rooms: There are separate male and female open plan changing rooms as well as individual cubicles. Additionally there are lockers for valuables and take £1 for use, which you get back. Please think about other SwimEasy swimmers using the facility and try not to leave clothes in the cubicles.

Hygiene: Our teachers really love it when children blow their noses and go to the toilet before the start of lessons. This tends to avoid any unwanted surprises and causes minimum disruption to the lessons!

Meeting Point

Once children are changed with caps and googles on, they can make their way onto poolside and head to the pool side where they can sit underneath the colour coded signs relating to their colour of swimming cap. From there, individual teachers will collect them for the start of their lesson. Stickers will be awarded at the end of the lesson and children should head to the near right-hand corner before going to the changing area to meet their parents.

Viewing the Pool

Viewing is restricted at Cleveland due to the pool’s Health and Safety requirements. We are asked that parents do not enter the pool area whilst lessons are on. Parents are however free to communicate with the Progress Adviser with regards to the progress of their child. SwimEasy has sole use of the pool facilities during the lessons.

Personal Equipment

Compulsory:

Eye goggles must be worn to allow for clear vision.
No baggy shorts are allowed as they restrict leg movement.
All children must wear their SwimEasy swim cap to prevent distractions and for pool cleanliness.
Swimming Costumes must be tight fitting preferably one size smaller than normal.

Recommended:

Towel
Pool Shoes
Robe
T-Shirt

Entrance & Parking

Parking is available for all swimmers just outside of the main entrance.
